We designed an in-page filtering system which is used on landing pages such as 'Research', where content exceeds a recommended number, to enable users to find desired content easier.
A design system was created to better indicate sections and content relationships.
A set of backgrounds based on geometric shapes was created to be used for each site section.
The backgrounds are used at the top-of-page banner area, along with the page title and description.
All pages under a section inherit the same banner.
A distinct background, in 4 different colours, was created to be used exclusively with spotlight content.
Spotlights are thematic collections of content living across the entire website, presented as a group on the home and landing pages.
When a content page is part of a spotlight, it retains the banner image used on the section it lives under, but inherits the spotlight colour.
