Image credits

A large number of the images used on the website are creative works of the university students. As the university is a champion of creative IP rights we had to ensure that all images were credited properly, in an accessible manner.

Initially the credits were being shown simultaneously on the page by a single button. This approach was at a later stage revised for a more granular control of which image shows credits. The revision took the form of an information icon on the top-right corner of every image. Once the icon is clicked an 87% transparent black overlay takes over the image, isolating the image credit for enhanced clarity and visual impact.
